The MPT end threads into the spillway while the slip end accepts standard 1-inch PVC pipe with solvent cement for a permanent, leak-free bond.

When to Use This Fitting

Choose the male adapter when your pipe run continues in a straight line from the spillway, or when you need a permanent solvent-welded joint rather than a barb connection. The slip socket creates a molecular bond with PVC cement that is stronger than the pipe itself — ideal for pressurized or high-flow applications.

Installation

Wrap MPT threads with Teflon tape before threading into the spillway. For the slip end, dry-fit first to verify alignment. Apply PVC primer to both the socket interior and pipe exterior, then apply PVC cement and immediately insert the pipe with a quarter-turn twist. Hold for 15 seconds. Allow 2 hours cure time before running water. Sold separately from Vianti Falls kits.
