Safety and installation:
This aeration system comes with 800 feet of 1/2" weighted tubing, making it easy to install: The tubing will sink by itself to the bottom of the pond without the need of any additional weight making it invisible to the eye. It will also decrease the chances of the airline being snagged by fishing lines or swimmers. Because there is no electricity in the pond, this diffused aeration system is completely safe for people or wildlife near and in the water.

Maintenance:
The only maintenance needed being the replacement of the vanes when needed. Repair kits are available on our website (click here for more information) at a very affordable price (a noticeable and sudden drop in air bubbles after a few years of operation is a sure sign that the vanes need to be replaced).

Be sure to clean the inlet air filter on your compressor regularly. Wash dirty air filters in soapy water.

1 Question & 1 Answer

If I install this system in my pond, I will plan on adding another in the spring. I have a 12 acre pond, first estimate was that I needed 10 - 2.8 CFM diffusers, the longest run from the compressor is @ 1200 LF. BUT with this unit, for the first one, I would have 2 runs at 200 LF @ 15' depth, 2 runs at 400 LF @ 8' depth, one at 600 LF @ 6' depth, and one at 800 LF @8' depth. I would assume that I would need the larger diameter weighted tubing, and approximately 1800 LF of extra. My question is will this compressor (115-120V) supply at least 2-2.3 CFM per diffuser in this layout?

I would say yes that should not be a problem. However when you go to set up your #2 system with the 1200' run that does concern me because we typically recommend not to run more than 1000' with any single run. It can be done and I have seen even longer runs but you tend to lose too much volume the more you exceed that recommendation.
