Product Description
Otterbine power cables have been designed explicitly for underwater, high current, and industrial conditions, which contributes to the Otterbine products having the total system package safety tested and listed with ETL and ETL - C - not just individual components.
If you wonder what this even means, it means that everything is designed to work together and provide a safe and reliable product.
The material used to produce the cable is called thermoset, which is a special kind of rubber. It sets once the heat is directly applied to it. Once it’s done, the cable will not re-soften, even if exposed to heat.
Thanks to this material, the cable is abrasion, sunlight, ozone, oil, and chemical resistant as well as water submersible and flame retardant. When buying a power cable, you need to remember that the longer it is, the heavier the gauge needs to be.
