Otterbine Power Cable # 12/4 - per ft.

If you decide to purchase one of the Otterbine fountains, you will need a power cable, as they are priced without it. They need to be purchased with at least 50’ power cable and in 25’ in increments. When buying your cable, you need to keep in mind that the longer it is, the heavier the gauge needs to be.

The Otterbine cables were created with underwater, high current, and industrial usage. Because of that, it is abrasion, sunlight, ozone, oil, and chemical resistant as well as water submersible and flame retardant.

The cable is made out of thermoset rubber material, which means that it hardens (or sets if you prefer) under the direct application of heating (also known as curing). Once it sets, it’s not possible for it to be re-softened. Thermoset is more durable and flexible than thermoplastic - a cable made out of thermoplastic softens when heated and becomes firm when it’s cooled down.

You might ask yourself - can’t I just use a cable from another company? Technically, you can. However, using a non-original power cable is like using a non-original power control center. In the beginning, it might work, but for how long?
