    from Spring Lake Michigan asked:

We live at the end of a small channel and have accumulated quite a bit of algae. The big Lake was just treated for algae. Would an aerator like this work to help keep the channel moving?
    1 Answer
I think it would be difficult to aerate a channel in a lake because it is not a closed system like a pond. However, you could use an aerator sort of as a water circulator to keep water moving but this would be way too small. Give us a call with more information and we could make a few recommendations once we have more info. You can reach us at 1-888-775-2402.

Can this aerator be exposed to the elements or do I need to protect it in an enclosed structure?

This system is self enclosed it can be exposed to the elements as is and you do not need to provide any additional housing for it.
