Do to the fact it has no battery storage.....does it shut down at sunset, or is there a capacitor that keeps it running for a while. If long will it run? Can a qualified person add there existing back up battery from my old aerator bought from a past company. Finally... What are the ratings of the solar panel for severe occasional hail?
    1 Answer
No when the sun goes down the unit stops operating until sun up. I am not sure if you can convert this to a battery back up system with parts from another unit, I would have to answer no on that one. I would say if the hail is bad enough it can damage anything, cars, roofs etc.. But the usual light hail should not damage these panels.
