What is the minimum water depth required to prevent ice from forming. Will this work in extremely cold conditions when unaerated ice can be maybe 18 - 20" thick? Can another 100ft of tubing be added to extend the coverage without impacting performance?

These work best in 5’ of water or less. It will help to prevent 18” to 20” of ice if it is installed in less than 5’ feet of water BEFORE the ice forms of course. You can get a system like this with another 100' of tubing but you would have to go with a larger compressor, I am thinking you you would need at least a 3/4 HP. If you are interested give us a call and we can quote you on a custom system with 200' of bubble tubing and a larger compressor.
